BOGOR, WEST JAVA — In the journey of life, sustenance often comes unexpectedly and from various directions. It is a testament to the mercy of Allah SWT. Such unexpected sustenance also comes through the Tebar Zakat Fitrah (TZF) Program to those in need. Allah SWT bestows His blessings through the generous hands of Dompet Dhuafa’s donors. This program reflects the social care of Muslims who wish to share the blessings of Ramadan.
That afternoon, on Thursday (4/4/2024), amidst the scorching heat, public figure Risty Tagor, along with the Dompet Dhuafa Brand Activation Team, was present to directly distribute zakat fitrah in the form of 100 packs of rice, each weighing 5 kg. The rice was distributed to residents of Kampung Sanapati, Taman Sari Village, Rumpin District, Bogor Regency.

Despite the drizzle, Risty Tagor delivered the Ramadan Parcel with great joy.

“Today, I am very happy because I joined Dompet Dhuafa in the Tebar Zakat Fitrah activities. Earlier, we were at the first location, a mosque in the Rumpin area of Bogor, where we distributed 100 rice packages to the local residents who were very enthusiastic. I was so happy to see their joyful smiles today,” said Risty Tagor.
No one expected that this area, located in the eastern part of Bogor, would receive the blessing of zakat fitrah. This is tangible proof that goodness and generosity can reach unexpected places.

“I didn’t expect Dompet Dhuafa to come here. As the Chairman of DKM here, I extend my heartfelt thanks. Alhamdulillah, we received assistance from Dompet Dhuafa, who distributed zakat fitrah to our residents. We are very grateful to Dompet Dhuafa and hope this can continue next year,” said Saepudin, Chairman of DKM Musala Darussalam, Rumpin.

Happiness radiates from the beneficiaries of the Spread of Zakat Fitrah program.

Besides TZF, departing from the initial location towards her hometown Rumpin, Dompet Dhuafa, along with Risty Tagor, also distributed 20 Ramadan parcels containing groceries and essential supplies.
“Alhamdulillah, this is the second location and currently we’re still in Rumpin, Bogor. Earlier, we distributed 20 parcels and it’s a new experience for me because we delivered the parcels directly. We met an elderly lady who is over 100 years old. There’s also a senior lady living alone, and the women here, masyaallah, Dompet Dhuafa targeted the parcels very appropriately this time. InshaAllah, it will be beneficial. It’s a new experience, definitely very happy, and seeing the reactions of the recipients also made me happy, and I feel the happiness multiplied,” added Risty Tagor.
The symbolic handover of the Tebar Zakat Fitrah (TZF) distribution package was conducted by Utammi Sri Lestari, representing the Vice Chairperson of Ramadan at Dompet Dhuafa 1445 H, to Saepudin of DKM Mushola Darussalam.
Utammi added that the total distribution of zakat fitrah and Ramadan parcels this year amounted to 10 thousand packages. This success could not have been achieved without the significant support and contributions from the entire community who entrusted their trust to Dompet Dhuafa. Hopefully, the provision of this assistance will be a blessing for all parties involved.
“Alhamdulillah, the community has also been very enthusiastic about receiving assistance from all those who entrusted their donations to Dompet Dhuafa. The targets of the Fitrah and Ramadan Parcel distribution program are spread across all corners of Indonesia, not just in Bogor. We target several beneficiaries including widows, orphans, meal attendants, railroad crossing guards, sanitation workers, Quran teachers, and others,” Utammi explained.

Marsonah (80) expressed deep gratitude for the Ramadan Parcel provided by Dompet Dhuafa.
One of the Ramadan parcels reached Marsonah’s hands (80). She admitted she never expected a public figure to personally deliver the parcel.
“I was deeply touched by the celebrity’s visit, it’s a first for me. Thank you so much, I’m very happy to receive the Ramadan parcel. I was moved to receive a box of food,” expressed Marsonah.
Furthermore, Marsonah mentioned that at her old age now, she is unable to engage in strenuous activities. She complained of frequent leg cramps, which prevent her from walking for long periods.

“Mother can’t do much activity now. She complains that her legs often hurt and cramp when walking, so she stays at home. As for necessities, it’s mostly her child who takes care of everything now. She can only focus on religious studies; as for work, she can no longer manage,” she added.
Marsonah expressed her gratitude for the Ramadan Parcel program. Previously, she took odd jobs and relied on her child to meet her needs.
“Because sustenance can come from anywhere. Alhamdulillah, there’s always sustenance, even though my child also takes odd jobs whenever there’s an opportunity. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly and there will be more, all provided with blessed sustenance, benefits, and the ability to share. Mother also prays for a long life to continue worship, even though she can’t be active,” Marsonah added. (Dompet Dhuafa)
