Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Religious Affairs expressed readiness to publish various achievements at the “Religion Festival: Faster, Better, Stronger” scheduled at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) on October 9.
“The Religion Festival is aimed at conveying the achievements of and activities that have been carried out by the ministry,” the ministry’s spokesperson, Sunanto, remarked during a media gathering here on Monday.
Sunanto highlighted that these achievements are related to the Hajj worship program and the ministry’s other priorities of strengthening religious moderation and digital transformation.
Moreover, the ministry’s priority programs include revitalizing the Religious Affairs Office (KUA), encouraging independence of the Islamic boarding school or pesantren, Cyber Islamic University, and the religiosity index.
In addition, the ministry pushes for diversity through the “Year of Harmony of Diverse Communities” program.
“Once again, we want to emphasize that the Religious Affairs Ministry not only manages Hajj but we also take care of issues from life to death. Religious technical matters are part of the ministry’s duties and functions,” Sunanto explained.
On the same occasion, the ministry’s Director of Islamic Religious Higher Education, Ahmad Zainul Hamdi, drew attention to three keywords in the Religion Festival, namely faster, better, and stronger.
Speaking in connection with accelerating digital transformation, the ministry has digitized almost all of its services, he stated.
“Almost all services in the ministry are now online, which has sped up services for the public. There is also the Pusaka Super App and those who use the Pusaka Super App can access all services,” Hamdi stated.
Furthermore, the Religious Affairs Ministry will hold a kick-off event to commemorate Santri Day on October 22.
