Endowments and Islamic Affairs Minister Heads Qatari Hajj Mission for 1445 AH

Doha, June 3 (QNA) – HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem has issued a decision to form the Qatari Hajj mission for the Hajj season 1445 AH, corresponding to 2024 AD, and to name the supporting units to serve the pilgrims of Qatar.

According to the decision, HE the Minister of Endowments will head the mission, and the decision also stipulated the appointment of Ali Sultan Al Musaifri as vice-president and appointment of members representing the State’s ministries and its relevant institutions, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Health, and the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, in addition to forming an advisory committee and field administrative units to serve the pilgrims from the State of Qatar, which are: the Sharia and religious guidance unit, the medical services unit, the monitoring and inspection unit, the public relations unit, the secretarial unit, the information systems unit, the coordination, follow-up and airport unit, the financial unit, and the communication and support, the pilgrimage services unit, and the logistics unit.

The mission is also accompanied by a media team representing the State’s media institutions, including representatives from Qatar TV, Al Rayyan TV, and Qatar Radio.

This coordinated formation aims to provide services that support the Qatari campaigns, to provide a distinguished service for the comfort of the pilgrims from the State of Qatar, and to follow up on their daily requirements, in addition to working to ensure their security and safety, in cooperation and coordination with the competent authorities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In this context, and to ensure integrated representation and distinguished performance, the units began their work with successive delegations that left the country for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to the nature of the work assigned to them, as the first delegation left on May 19, 2024, and was concerned with preparing and equipping the pilgrims’ camps in the holy sites in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, and completing contracts in the healthcare aspect, living quarters and nutrition, in a way that suits the country’s pilgrims, and providing them with the appropriate atmosphere for a safe Hajj in accordance with Saudi requirements, and at the same time reflects on the ideality of the work and the quality of its results.
