JAKARTA — In collaboration with the DANA application, Dompet Dhuafa presents the convenience of paying zakat fitrah online. As we know, Ramadan is a momentum for Muslims to fulfil the fourth pillar of Islam, zakat. In this holy month, zakat fitrah becomes an obligation for a Muslim to be paid.
The Holy Prophet saw has obliged his people to pay zakat fitrah with one sha’ date or wheat equivalent to 2.5 kilograms of rice. However, zakat fitrah can also be cashed in the form of cash whose value is equivalent to the price of basic food.
In this digital era, paying zakat fitrah is even easier because it can be cashed only by hand. DANA is one of the applications that provide online zakat fitrah features. This feature was presented in collaboration with DANA and the National Amil Zakat Institute (LAZ), Dompet Dhuafa.

The cooperation between DANA and Dompet Dhuafa is also special. Not just an online zakat payment feature, DANA also presents other features related to acts of kindness, including donations, waqf, infak, pay fidyah, to buy sacrificial animals.
Users who choose to pay zakat through DANA also can handle the openness of their fund distribution. This is because Dompet Dhuafa as a National LAZ is always transparent with reports on utilising zakat funds and other social funds.

GM Resources Mobilization Dompet Dhuafa, Ahmad Faqih Syarafaddin hopes that this collaboration with DANA can make it easier for the community to carry out worship. Dompet Dhuafa and DANA will also continue to be committed to realizing a safe and reliable transaction experience.
“Dompet Dhuafa is grateful to donors and the community who continue to entrust zakat, infak, alms, and waqf. With the collaboration with DANA, Dompet Dhuafa hopes that it will be easier for people to carry out worship, one of which is paying zakat in this era of digital disruption with an easy, effective, and seamless transaction experience.”
“Dompet Dhuafa and DANA are also committed to creating a safe and reliable transaction experience so that people can move towards sustainable solutions,” said Ahmad Faqih.

“DANA welcomes the collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa through this mini program. We see growing trust from the public in digital wallet solutions, including infak payments, zakat, and other acts of kindness in Ramadan. Therefore, we also ensure and guarantee security in every zakat payment made through the Dompet Dhuafa mini program in the DANA application so that people can perform their worship smoothly,” said Sharon Issabella, Head of Communications DANA Indonesia.
Because it is not bound by time and space, zakat fitrah payments through DANA can be made anytime and anywhere. For this reason, at the end of Ramadan which began to be busy with homecoming activities, Muslims can still pay zakat fitrah without worrying about missing the time, so that homecoming feels calm. Zakat fitrah can be paid through DANA during Ramadan until April 22, 2023, at 05.00 WIB.
