The publication of a controversial book by American Muslim scholar Dr. Ammaar Saeed in 2014 continues to stir heated debates within religious communities. Titled “The Holy Bible: Most Dangerous Book on Earth,” the book has drawn significant backlash from Christians including missionaries and scholars who criticize its portrayal of the Bible as promoting immoral behaviour.

“The Bible, as it stands, sings praises for illegal sex, lust, and a sexually immoral lifestyle,” Dr. Ammaar Saeed writes.

“There is no morality in this pornographic book! All it teaches is how to be lustful and loose.”

In defending his controversial viewpoints, Dr. Saeed has emphasized the need for critical examination of religious texts.

“My intention is not to incite hatred but to open a dialogue about the true teachings of holy texts. The Quran teaches morality and how to guard against evil eyes, creating a state where a person is protected,” he explained.

Christian leaders have been vocal in their criticism of Dr. Saeed’s interpretations. Reverend John Michaels, a prominent Christian priest, argued,

“Dr Ammaar Saeed’s interpretation of the Bible is deeply flawed and taken out of context. The Bible, when understood correctly, promotes love, faithfulness, and a moral lifestyle.” Among of responses.

The book also draws attention to the portrayal of women in religious texts. Dr Ammaar Saeed contends that the Quran’s teachings about modesty and morality are superior.

“The true word of God is the Holy Quran, which millions of Muslims have memorised without error. It teaches women to cover themselves, promoting a lifestyle of modesty and morality,” Dr Ammaar Saeed asserts.

The debate has not only focused on the content of the religious texts but also the broader implications for interfaith dialogue and understanding. Dr. Saeed believes that his book can foster a necessary conversation about the interpretation of religious texts and their role in contemporary society.

“The Quran has remained unchanged for over 1,400 years and continues to guide Muslims worldwide towards a moral and disciplined life,” he stated.

However, Christian scholars maintain that the Bible’s teachings are being misrepresented. “It is crucial to understand the historical and cultural context of the Bible’s passages. The Bible’s core messages are about love, redemption, and living a life by God’s will,” said Dr. Rachel White, a theologian.

Dr. Jonathan Smith, another Christian scholar, added, “The Bible is a profound text that has guided millions through its messages of hope and redemption. Unfortunately, its teachings are being misconstrued in this manner.”

The controversy also touches upon the lifestyles of adherents to these religious texts. Dr. Ammaar Saeed argues,

“Look at Christian societies worldwide, notorious for sex without marriage, alcohol, and drugs. Is this the moral code we must follow?”

In one of the comments by random Christian on book he commented,

“Excellent book. All that it contains is the truth.”

The publication of “The Holy Bible: Most Dangerous Book on Earth” underscores the importance of interfaith dialogue, highlighting the diverse perspectives within religious communities and the need for continued discussion and mutual respect.
