Bask in the 2024 Ramadan festivities at these vibrant bazaars and events in Singapore for sumptuous food and heritage fashion get-ups.

There’s nothing quite like a Ramadan bazaar. An annual fiesta to signal the start of the Muslim fasting month, the pop-up retailers include food stalls selling mouthwatering dishes and clothing for the family with accompanying accessories.

Of course, everyone knows the iconic Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar as the destination to shop for Eid al-Fitr (Hari Raya Aidilfitri). Besides Geylang Serai, other neighbourhoods in Singapore will also hold Ramadan bazaars this year.

Look forward to the first-ever Ramadan bazaar in Bedok and the largest and longest-running Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar.

Here are the best Singapore Hari Raya Ramadan bazaar and events in 2024:

Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar

A must-go for locals and tourists during the Ramadan festivities, Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar offers every essential, especially food, to celebrate the annual occasion. Featuring about 500 stalls in total with over 150 stalls focusing on food and drinks, this year’s bazaar theme will be #SemangatRaya, which translates to “spirit of [Hari] Raya”. In addition, every F&B stall must have at least a Halal certification, be operated by a Muslim owner, and/or receive approval from a Halal certification consultant. The food vendors must also offer two products priced at SGD3 each to offer visitors affordable options.

Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar happens from 8 March to 10 April 2024 at Geylang Serai Market to Tanjong Katong Complex.

Expect over 100 stalls across Kandahar Street, Muscat Street and Baghdad Street. Among them, about 80 stalls will focus on yummy F&B offerings, while about 20 are retail vendors. Besides shopping, there will also be live cooking shows and live performances by Malaysian artistes like Tomok and Alif Satar, and local musician Taufik Batisah.

There will also be recycling bins on the grounds for visitors to dispose of recyclable items, thus contributing to conversation efforts. In addition to extensive Halal food options, the bazaar will also feature movie screenings and live performances. Highlights include Malaysian comedian and presenter Shuk Sahar’s special segment sharing his unique Nasi Kerabu — a Malaysian dish with distinctive blue rice. Muslims can break fest at designated dining areas and use its prayer facilities during the fasting month.
