Hajj 2024 Registration India: Due to various requests, the deadline for submitting Haj Application Forms has been extended to January 15, 2024. The Hajj package price set by the Hajj Committee of India (HCI) is Rs 3,99,500. Choosing private travel operators may incur an extra minimum charge of Rs 600 compared to government rates for Hajj packages.

New Delhi: India and Saudi Arabia on Sunday inked a bilateral agreement, designating a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims for the annual Haj pilgrimage in 2024. The agreement was signed by Smriti Irani, the Minister of Minority Affairs, and V Muraleedharan, the Minister of State for External Affairs, along with Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, in Jeddah.

According to an official statement, 1,40,020 seats are being reserved for pilgrims to proceed through Haj Committee whereas 35,005 pilgrims would be permitted to proceed through private operators. This is a major development highlighting the growing goodwill of India on the global forum.

How to apply?

In response to numerous requests from diverse sources, the deadline for submitting Haj Application Forms has been extended until January 15, 2024. As a result, individuals with machine-readable Indian International Passports issued on or before January 15, 2024, and valid until January 31, 2025, are now eligible to apply for Haj-2024. The application process is facilitated through the online portal of the Haj Committee of India, accessible at https://hajcommittee.gov.in.

Prospective applicants are strongly advised to thoroughly review the Haj Guidelines – 2024 before finalising and submitting their Haj Application Forms. This extension provides an opportunity for more individuals to participate in this significant pilgrimage.
